Packaged in a fitted plastic net that keeps the red, yellow and green
cheeses arranged like a stoplight, this assortment makes a nice gift or
party favor.
The red one is Natural Gouda, Holland's world famous cheese. This cow's
milk favorite has a nice creamy flavor, a springy texture and is pale
yellow in color.
The yellow one is Pepper Gouda. For those who like their cheese a bit more
spicy, this cheese is speckled with cracked black peppercorns. The result
is a distinctive flavor that pairs perfectly with meat. Try a slice melted
atop your next burger!
The green one is Herb and Garlic Gouda. The best-selling variety in
Holland, this cheese (also known as the "Dynamite Cheese") contains garlic
and several delicious herbs including parsley and chives. Rumor has it
that the herbs in this cheese have a stimulating effect on all of one's
activities.
Each variety is well suited for snacking or for use in a multitude of
recipes. Serve sliced, cubed, shredded or melted.
